Friends,
We are excited to announce our first fundraiser dinner for Mission–Matsqui–Abbotsford with special guest Jamil Jivani, Member of Parliament for Durham (Ontario).
You won't want to miss this thought provoking evening with MP Jivani who will be sharing his thoughts on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as a black man in Conservative politics, immigration, and other hot button issues.
If you don't know Jamil, he is a lawyer, author and broadcaster and was elected as the Member of Parliament for Durham in a by-election on March 4th 2024. Raised by a single mom and having overcome many challenges, he graduated from Humber College, York University, and Yale Law School.
Jamil has volunteered with several organisations dedicated to improving the lives of youth. As a cancer survivor, he understands the importance of high-quality local health care and strong public services. He's also been a columnist in the National Post, and involved in the Canada Strong and Free Network (formerly the Manning Centre).
Jamil is a fighter who will always stand up for his community and fight for what's right.
With the NDP finally pulling out of their costly coalition agreement with the Liberals, an election could happen at any time. This event will be key in ensuring our campaign is well funded and can keep Mission–Matsqui–Abbotsford blue.
Ticket sales are officially closed.
Sincerely,
Mission–Matsqui–Abbotsford Conservatives
