Whereas Justin Trudeau promised 8 years ago to make housing more affordable.

 

Whereas after 8 years of Justin Trudeau, the cost of mortgages, rent, and down payments, have all doubled.

 

Whereas Trudeau’s inflationary deficits have driven up interest rates that have made housing more expensive.

 

Whereas local government gatekeepers continue to block home construction in our cities, leaving Canadians with a shortage of homes.

 

Therefore, be it resolved that we call on this government to adopt a Common-Sense Conservative plan to get the gatekeepers out of the way, rapidly increase home building, and bring homes people can afford.
